Do you have skills that could be put to use in a small office for a good cause (answering phones, data entry, etc.)? Then you may be a great volunteer with the Community Health Center. Data Entry Volunteer

photostockThe Community Health Center is seeking a volunteer who would be willing to work with us to provide health records to our patients online. CHC has adopted Electronic Health Records systems (EHR) for both its medical and dental departments. We are now in the process of entering in data from paper charts into our new EHR's. The amount of work is enormous, as you can imagine, but we are committed to providing this information to our patients.

A Data Entry Volunteer would be trained read paper charts, medical and dental, and quickly transfer information to our respective EHR systems. Speed and accuracy of entry are a key part of this position along with a commitment to confidentiality and privacy. Previous experience on data entry projects is preferred, but it is not required.

People who would be a good fit for this volunteer position include: students studying to be a medical records managers, doctor / dental office administrators, managers, or receptionists; Health IT and informatics students, as well as anyone with experience as an office assistant / manager who is proficient with computers.

Endodontist
