PhotostockWithin the last 10 years, Medicare has been gradually adopting a strategy of promoting the health of its beneficiaries by promoting general wellness and preventative screenings for major diseases and conditions. With the passage of the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. ObamaCare, those wellness and preventative services have been greatly expanded and most of them are being made available at no cost to the beneficiaries. This means that a Medicare patients deductible and coinsurance requirements are waived by Medicare for these specific wellness and preventative services.
Below you can find a list of preventative services / tests that are available on specific time intervals at no charge to Medicare (Part B) beneficiaries:

Free Medicare Wellness Visits
Medicare also provides free annual visits that focus on assessing a beneficiaries health and current state of wellness. Health providers then provide counseling on how to increase patient wellness and they provide the beneficiary with a written plan of which Medicare free preventative services, listed above, the beneficiary should take advantage of.
